This will be a mostly silent walk, with stops for observation and historical information -- we will look at maps and photographs of the River throughout history. This is not a tour, a parade, or a protest. I developed this walk as part of my training with the National Association of Interpreters, to experiment with other ways of engaging with place than traditional informational walking tours. It’s a chance for people to connect with the river, together, just see it and be there, moving slowly, and have a chance to reflect on how it has changed over time, and will change. Phones off and away.
